We are Gizem and Erdem, partners in life, design, and vision. Following a distinguished chapter creating spaces on the Aegean coast, we relocated our family and two beloved dogs to Lisbon—a city whose historical texture deeply aligns with our design philosophy.

For nearly a decade, we have honed our expertise in interior design, historic renovations, and bespoke furniture curation. Our portfolio spans high-volume boutique commercial spaces, including our renowned culinary ventures Pizza Mera and Mera Lisboa, alongside private residential projects—most notably, two custom-built stone country houses designed from the ground up.

Before establishing Rooted Lisboa as a formal practice, we operated as private design consultants, quietly shaping and styling high-end private residences. Time and again, clients noted that our spaces felt profoundly authentic and alive, rather than merely staged. The secret lies in our process: we intimately study how a family moves, breathes, and lives before we ever source a single object.

Rooted Lisboa was born out of a real need—it is the exact, uncompromised service we realized the Lisbon market lacked when we made our own transition. We founded this studio on two unshakeable pillars: a soulful, uncompromising eye for interior curation, and a strict, zero-markup transparency protocol.
